I have got an offer fromDeloitte as Level M, Base 170K plus Bonus (no figures but I would assume 10-30% of base) Mindtree gave an offer of 180k Bonus included . 1. Which one is the better option with priority of WLB and quality of growth and learning 2. Would it be unprofessional to request Compensation bump from Mindtree and then not join them ?
I’ve been offered an industry job that is roughly 2.8 time my current total comp. I’m taking it but I’m scared... I’ve never been a non consultant.........
Both the agency owner and the senior director I report to introduced me to new clients last week as a director even though my job title is manager. Should I ask to (or just start) use director as my job title since clearly they want clients to think I am? We all just took salary cuts due to COVID so it’d be a promotion in title only for work that I’ve already been doing.

Who here has experience using an outside offer to negotiate your pay at Deloitte? I know I’m valued (off cycle raise/retention bonus in addition to market adjustment coming)… but still 30 - 40k underpaid compared to what I’m seeing in the market. I like Deloitte and the work I do so I’d like to try and make it work, but know I need to play hard ball to see action. Would really appreciate advice and or tips for this process!

Resume gap: My position will be abruptly end in December (was informed this week). However, I won't be interview ready in the next 2 weeks. So how bad does a gap of 1-2 months appear to tech recruiters? Common knowledge is it is a disadvantage to the candidate from a salary negotiation process. I'm also told hiring decisions at places like AWS & GCP take time and it might be a few months before an offer letter is received.
Started looking at jobs in private accounting. I scored interviews for a Staff Accountant, Junior Accountant, and Accounting Assistant. I just finished interviewing for the Staff Accountant position which feels very much like AP/AR and Bank Recs to start, similarly to the other two positions. Does the title matter? I want to be able to grow but at the same time I want to make sure I’m moving up positions in my job search so I’m exposed to harder/higher level work.
EB3, I-485 filed at the end of Oct 2020, did my biometrics in mid March 2021. Anyone with similar timeline has received their EAD card or has gotten the notice for medical examination?
Here is how KPMG handled an announcement today re: a RIF: We’ll be laying off people. We can’t tell you when. can’t tell you how many people. We can’t give you any details. But we WILL send you an email after this call with FAQs and the severance policy. ...no email was sent. So, now 1,000 employees are going to bed tonight confused and irritated AF.
My company was acquired by a larger company. They offered me a more senior position outside of EA space, in an area that i know very little about, but no additional pay compensation. I also do not get equity, like at my last company. They’ll offer me a retention bonus after 1 year equal to the amount of severance they would have given if I do not take the job. Would you take the new job or take the severance and find something more in line with what I’m doing now?
