Ive got an offer from a startup that represents a $40k pay cut in salary, and leaving a lot of amazon stock on the table. Total dip would be close to $100k a year at Amazon’s current stock price.

I don’t have any other offers, and tried explaining the gap to the recruiter who ‘didn’t get approval for additional budget and the offer is what it is’. Note - there is equity involved, but it’s private RSUs so not at all liquid = not counting that.

I work at a firm that is predominantly white. We live in an area that's predominantly Hispanic, but they don't speak Spanish. I do and I'm always used as a translator. It's very annoying because I don't even get brought it on the case. They only want me to translate or talk to witnesses and that's it. It takes me away from my real work. I'm considering removing that I am fluent in Spanish from my resume to not deal with this in the future. Anyone dealt with this before?
