What is the typical team size a Deloitte Manager leads? I have about a year of experience leading a small team (3-5 people) and am at the Associate level at Booz Allen.

Would I be better suited for Deloitte SC or Manager level? I have 8 YOE total and 3 YOE in consulting. I have plenty of experience managing workstreams, just not a lot of people management. Not afraid of a challenge but also don't want to set myself up for failure if I'd be expected to jump in and manage 50+ person teams...

Definitely SC, though they'll try to bring you on as a C (and pay even less than BAH).

like

If not clear from my comment, D definitely pays more than BAH on the whole, but they will try to pay less, much less, if they can get away with it.

like

Could be 1-2, could be 15+... all depends on the type of work and how close you are to SM. SM managed revenue is $2.5M, so that’s very roughly 10-12 people.

Deloitte almost never hires at manager level. They want you to show that you can perform on manager level for a year before you are promoted. I know people with 10years of solid government experience and number of relevant certifications hired as SC.

You won’t get hired at manager level at Deloitte.

As was I.
5 years federal employee and then two years at KPMG at the senior consultant equivalent (I think the KPMG thing made them more comfortable).

Thinking about applying to a fed consulting job. It doesn’t specify which security clearance I will need, but I will need one. My spouse works for a foreign company (here in US) that is listed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). She is not a citizen of that foreign country, but just works at this company in middle management. Is this an automatic disqualifier for me to get a security clearance?
