Outside says is tough, you might get taken away from a leisurely activity to address emails or calls overseas; things of that nature. But as long as you're running your own desk efficiently, you should have plenty of time for vacation and life away from sales.

Tech is the easiest imo - slow sales cycles, all about relationships and solutioning

It depends, in an enterprise role, you will work 20 hours in some weeks and 50 the next. It can be very unpredictable, especially at the end of a quarter. You depend on your prospects’ timelines and availability.

It depends on a lot of things. The company and your role might affect your WLB. But overall, you can still manage it :)

Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. Has me concerned about being on the high end and being the first person that comes to mind when it’s time to pinch a few pennies or clean up the books ahead of future rounds/IPO. Valid concern or am I overthinking it?

I’m a creative in Europe. My creative output has been consistent and I have been lucky enough to have won a bunch of awards at the big shows. All is well. But somehow I keep on feeling the urge to relocate to the USA to work on a bigger scale, and to feel the thrill of a new challenge. I have some opportunities over there, actually. Are there any Europeans working in the USA right now? In which way is it different? Do you make less stuff? Which cities are recommended? Any advice would be great.

In-house counsel - would you prefer working at a big company specializing in a field of law, eg, privacy, IP, employment, etc, or a small company being a general counsel? Assume the small company has a higher risk of going under compared to the big company, but higher reward (via stock), and the large company pays a healthier salary.

Which role would you take? Account Executive with a Series A French company with a bright future according to my research, 160KOTE 50/50 split. Second offer comes from Salesforce, 120 OTE 50/50 split + other benefits.

I find it interesting how some CRO's cane come to a company and ruin it, fire a bunch of people, miss their numbers by 50% the board fires them and another company hires them a month later

I would really appreciate some suggestions for roles that I should be applying for. I recently started my MBA though I'm still having trouble landing interviews and think I should be applying for different roles than I have been. My MBA concentration is global business, my BS was in management with a minor in professional writing. I've been working in cosmetics mainly on the customer service side, currently senior support for the CS team and have experience doing CS on social media.

Hoping for some advice here!!

I’m a senior sales person that just left my first job (where I was ranked top 10% in sales, worked for 5 years, qualified for presidents club 3 times & was very well known & respected) for a new company that will definitely be better, but I am starting over. Also, working from home for the first time (last job deemed “essential”).

I was told that I was the chosen candidate for a new role that I applied for which will be promotion, I just recently received my offer and was surprised and decided to start negotiating. My boss immediately said that this is offer, either take it or lose it and no negotiating, and was only given a day to decide whether I want it or not, so he repost the position, and was also told that I was going about it the wrong way for trying to negotiate, Is this wrong of me to negotiate?
