Can I get multiple opinions on Strategy&'s ESV digital transformation group? I'm hearing conflicting background info based on search function.

So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. The rate was really good - more than the fintech company was offering as annual salary. Rate was 160/HR and fintech was 275K TC. The benefits are ok - it’s a W2 contractor. But I’m thinking of...

But In project they are not ready to provide the development user stories and only supporting user stories are assigned, but due to the above behaviour I was like totally depressed as I don't like the supporting work(documentation stuffs).
