I saw in the news that Google is increasing minimum PTO to 20 days. What is the full detail on this (e.g., is more PTO earned at benchmarks like 3 and 5 years as before? Did the max. PTO increase?) ? Does the PTO policy cover sick days or are those separate? Accenture’s PTO is both vacation and sick leave in one, and it’s a total bummer. I started with like 16 days.
Bruh if you only had to work 55 hours on the week of a release, it wasn’t that painful
One of the reasons I stay is because of the WL balance. Never worked a weekend (unless it was to make up time I took off during the week)
It may depend on which market/client. I'm in DFW, and I have a great work-life balance. Rarely, if ever, do I work weekends.
Heard it is mainly staff aug, is that true?
D1 depends on market and practice somewhat. I have been there 7 years, never had anything staff aug. some groups, like the one with a bunch of project managers in it, seems to ONLY be able to sell very staff Augish work
Slalom 2, what office are you working from?
It depends on the project. Wlb for me is a myth.
I know a few folks there. They all love wlb
If you go over 45 hours a week they start getting concerned. I just finished a massively painful very critical release... Worked 55 hours that week, flexed the extra 10 onto the following week, total hours for both weeks evened out to 85 hours. so hopefully that explains it, it's pretty good.
Work effort is pretty routine, in general. Our corporate or cross market folks usually work more than local office folks.
