Lol beer is water with fermented malt and hops, both natural. The only natural thing in soda these days is water, even the sugar is not real sugar!

Both are bad for you. Soda has no redeeming qualities at all. Beer is more of a mixed bag. A bud/Miller light is worthless. A nice craft beer is at least delicious and makes you feel good. However a 9% Belgian is loaded with calories (But you may only need 1-2). Lots of darker beers have some antioxidants and other benefits, but the alcohol itself is still not good for you
