Deloitte only has 25% match on 6%, effectively a 1.5%.

6% match into Roth option

@D4 After one full calendar year. Deloittenet has all the answers.

like

@D2 you are right they have that same 25% match for ever $up to 6% of your income

I think all big 4 have similar policies: one thing which you get when you are industry

Rookie question: but when does the matching actually happen? I've been depositing a significant percentage every paycheck, but company match still shows as 0?

What about the other questions? How much do you all contribute and into what type of accounts,

Up to federal max - $18k

$18k a year?

Every other week, I think of leaving B4 Partnership and do something different like working for a big tech or a startup or even start my own business. I am not too much worried about sacrificing my yearly income but leaving the pension on the table is too much of a bitter pill to swallow. I am 13 years away from retirement and been a Partner for 7 years. More time I spend here, I get less motivated (financially) to leave. Did anyone of you deal with this dilemma successfully? Thanks!

Ok. I got an offer for a “senior consultant” role at this ~75 person company. They offered me $115k base and I’d actually like to be at 130. I want to just ask if there’s room for an additional 15k in the base. I don’t want to qualify my reasons why. Tell me why I should approach it differently or if this will be fine. I figure the worse they’ll say is “no”.

Do large tech companies (ie FAANG) extend offers at a lower level than you applied for? I’m considering switching back to an IC role. Level-wise, this probably equates to a staff level engineer (E6 FB, L6 Google, etc). But due to my possibly premature foray into management at a startup for the past 3 years, I feel I might not be as technically strong as if I stayed an IC. Do I go for the staff level roles that I may be less qualified for or optimize for getting an offer at a Sr. Eng lvl role?
