I use to enjoy pulling together lessons using a variety of resources, and not using textbooks or ready made curriculum. I just used the standards. These days, I’m finding that my online students find a set curriculum easier to navigate. I’m finding it easier to keep organized online. Anyone else having a similar experience?

What do you do when you need a sub? What kinds of plans work best for subs in the Spanish classroom? I have needed subs lately and have found it hard to plan lessons that aren’t just busy work.

In process to file OINP received NOI on Oct 15, I’ve a question, I did ECA only for Masters, in OINP it asks for all post-secondary education. Anyone else that did this OINP with only Masters ECA? And whats the right way to do it?

It is not easy sometimes to communicate with parents. I don't know if its from fear of being shamed or doubted, or if its from just laziness.

Last spring, so many companies offered subscriptions to their sites and apps for free to teachers/students. Do you think that will continue through this year or are they starting to charge?

At my school there are buttons being passed out that say, “She/her, he/him they/them.” I have no problem with anyone wearing these buttons but I don’t like feeling pressure to wear one myself. No one is telling me to wear one but people talk about how inclusive it is to wear one and most staff do. I really don’t think I’m being transphobic by not wearing one but I just don’t want to wear one. What is your opinion on this?

Do you ever feel like people look down on you for being a teacher ?

I am ESL teacher. At my last school I did push in and pull out. However I felt like I was never a real teacher and was more like the support teacher and was ignored. Does anyone else feel like that?

This was recently posted in a thread I was commenting on. “It frustrates me to read people’s messages from states with very few cases to act like the virus is nothing to those of us whose states have a 100k.” Syntax aside, the meaning is clear—if you are from a small state, you should zip it.

I am from a small state. Our case count will never break us out of the bottom quartile (probably never get above the bottom 5.) Does that mean I am not allowed to have an opinion?
