I wear a mask when I’m in public places (indoors only), was my hands when I get home, and avoid touching my face/eyes.
Yep this is what we do. We have children and an elderly person in the house as well. It's been fine so far.
I put on a mask where it’s required. Other than that, BAU. I respect COVID guidelines and don’t believe it’s a hoax like the dumbass Trump supporters do, but if it had a higher death rate, I would bunker down and wouldn’t go outside. Think of the movie outbreak.

I wear a mask in public places, even outdoors if I feel I cannot socially distance from people adequately like walking down a busy sidewalk. I wash my hands when I come in from being outside and before I eat. I don’t hug or touch people other than my husband. So when we meet up with friends we all wave hello now instead of hugging.
I think it probably is a bit overboard as (unless there’s been an update I’ve missed) it’s been shown Covid doesn’t last long on surfaces like clothes. But you do what makes you comfortable, better to be over cautious than not cautious enough. I always wear a mask when I leave and wash my hands immediately upon getting home

OP - I have changed my bathing habits to cope with COVID, and bathing right after an outside visit has worked well for me and SO. We go out for grocery only once in 3 weeks and are staying in mostly other than neighborhood / nature walks.

We are also very cautious to not touch our faces when I public and wash our hands and face often
I wash our clothes immediately if we’re coming in from outside. We never wear shoes indoors anyway so no worries there. We wear masks outside. We scrub our hands with hot water and soap and carry hand sanitizer or soapy paper towels in plastic bags if we’re out. We don’t touch our faces. I would never, ever forgive myself if I passed this on to someone vulnerable. 🥺
What you’re doing is not overboard at all! You’re one of the few people that understand and are cautious. As soon as I leave work (I float between 5 hospitals) I go home. Take my scrubs off immediately in the garage and my shoes, shower immediately, put scrubs in wash machine. I never go anywhere in public without a mask or hand sanitizer. As soon as I get home I wash my hands. Everyone I know does all of these things. Please continue to do what you’re doing!

I wash my hands and wear a mask. That's about it.
I don't wash my clothes immediately but I do everything else that you do when I go anywhere other than grocery shopping, like doctor's appointments, etc.
This. I always change off my “outside clothes” when I get home even during pre-COVID times. Now I just take it a step further with a quick shower.
Wear a mask in public (not if I’m walking the dog in the woods), wash hands after a grocery trip, and distance from anyone not in our bubble. Our bubble is about 10 people
We carry hand sanitizer in our car. So if we went shopping and come back into the car , we sanitize our hands. Once we go home we wash our hands as well. We wear masks in public places like shopping and all. But if are on a walk / stroll nearby our house where there’s hardly anyone we don’t wear a mask. But we do wash our hands once we come back home. I think covering your mouth & nose in people dense areas and keeping your hands clean are key things according to us.
I wear a mask outside, wash my hands as soon as I take it off when I get back, and wash my hands after handling any delivery. Earlier on, I was also stricter about (1) wiping down bags and boxes from outside and (2) separating “indoor clothes” and “outdoor clothes” and changing when I came in. Mostly stopped doing those around July.
I do wash my outer clothes after I go out like grocery shopping. Nothing overboard about it.
My strategy is washing my hands as much as I did before and wearing a mask due to coercion
So badass.
I don’t believe in COVID anymore

I wipe down the gym equipment and sanitize my hands on the way out - after a workout.
I took similar precautions at first (not quite as aggressive, but I showered only once I was done going places for the day and changed immediately after going to stores etc. I never wear outdoor clothes on my bed though regardless of covid and I typically shower EOD already.), but when we learned more about the virus, I realized it was unnecessary. Now I am more focused on distancing and limiting who I interact with, wearing a proper mask in public, and washing my hands/avoiding touching my face instead of compulsively Clorox wiping everything from the grocery store.
