The Skimm

I like need2know from cheddar better than the skimm. Robinhood snacks is good for financial info but I only read the weekly one

Morning brew is awesome. Wish it wasn’t everyday though. Maybe 3x a week.

Hi, I recently got my H1B and in the letter that BAL sent, they said that my passport should be valid until after my H1B expires. The end date on my H1B is August 2023 and my passport expiry date is July 2023. Will this cause any problems? What can I do to mitigate the problem? (Should I renew passport before going for H1B stamping?)

My mother-in-law passed away 2 weeks ago (not Covid and somewhat unexpected). I work in a small, tight knit group or so I thought. I let them all know through email and got the obligatory "sorry for your loss", but since then we received no other acknowledgement. When other team members had parents pass I've always sent flowers or donated to the cause they requested. This is bothering me more than it probably should. Should I say anything or just let it go?

Currently at FAANG in a Client Solutions role. I’ve been here for 6 months, have the opportunity to potentially transition to BizOps or Product (in title, work is more implementation focused) in 6 months. Just got a Sales Strategy offer for a tech company but not FAANG. I like the team, pay is equal, and it’s remote with monthly travel. Scared of burning FAANG bridge with potential move out but also dislike my role because I hate sales and want to do strategy work. Thoughts?
