Does novartis paused hiring ? I have completed all my rounds and have been waiting for an offer to roll out. But the recruitment team is saying hiring is on hold as review meetings are going we don't know when they will start it. Does anyone know when will they resume hiring process again.

WFH full time. No mandatory WFO unless there’s a meeting or something important, or just setup a mandatory in person office meeting once every two weeks to make sure everyone is doing good. If people can’t work from home for whatever reason then they should be able to work from the office. WFH with a mandatory WFO two or three days a week will ultimately get weeded out. Many people are efficient from home and as long as they’re meeting their requirements there is no reason to force them back into the office.
I like the flexibility to work from home, but I think I still prefer the office for the most part. One thing that is important to me is that we’re all doing the same on most of the same days (WFH or in office)- obviously not ideal with social distancing, but it’s so much harder to go over documents together or ask folks to review things and vice versa without physically being in the same place
Prior to the pandemic, I was planning on asking to WFH on fridays since the traffic/commute is particularly bad on that day. I have a 2 year old so i can’t just wait out the traffic either. Now, it’s looking like that will be no problem since my firm has been sending around surveys about WFH options once the economy and our offices start to open up a bit.
Definitey WFH 2 days a week
WFH 3 days a week. That will allow me to get the necessary filings, etc. done, while being able to maintain the productivity of working from home (as long as the kids are back to school or taken care of, that is).
WFH is great, but the real game changer would be letting us move to locations with lower cost of living and better access to the outdoors. We can come into the offices every couple of weeks by plane, train, or automobile.
I wouldn’t mind split office/wfh.
I’d WFH 2-3 days a week
WFH once a week on Fridays like my prior career.
Office!
In the office with my staff - better productivity for us all!
I’d need an at home, dedicated office that is not in my basement with a single glass block window. As it stands, I have flexibility to work from home when needed and we have a satellite “office” nearby I can pop into that’s closer to where I live as needed.
Flexibility to wfh at least a couple days per week would be absolutely huge. Not commuting is amazing and I notice the extra time in my day. I hope lawfirms change their models and realize after this that they can save millions in office space (maybe by having less permanent offices) without sacrificing productivity.
