In person-28

Nope, I will be in a normal classroom. We had a hybrid plan in place that would allow for social distancing in classrooms, but our board voted it down. There will be zero social distancing. The desks are barely 2 ft. apart. 😭

I have a small classroom with 5 tables. I have two of the tables pushed together (side by side) and two tables pushed together to make an L shape. My student's always manage to push them apart or crooked. I am constantly pushing them back together or straightening them throughout the day. The tables being out of place would not be that big of a deal if my classroom was not small. I have tried non slip furniture pads, but they did not work. Any suggestions/hacks? Thank you!

Anyone else an elementary specialist who gets called to help behavior kids, remove them from their classrooms if being unsafe and supervise them in a “safe room” type of setting? If so, how much of your own teaching are you missing in a typical day and what kinds of support is your district offering you? Right now, I am dealing with behavior kids for 1-4 hours daily (I’m the reading specialist). Almost non-existent support from the district. Just curious what it looked like in other places.

I recently completed my doctorate in Education Leadership. I’m ready to be out of the classroom, but I still want to be hands on w students. What options do I have? Where do I go from here? It’s such a shame teachers have to leave the classroom to be paid what they deserve.

I’m curious, how many of you can say that you truly love being a teacher? I feel that I certainly like what I do and its always been something I do well but I can’t say I LOVE it. I often hear teachers say how much they love teaching and how they do what they do because they love it but I wonder how much of that is because that’s what teachers are expected to say?

I need help fellow technology savvy teachers... being alone with not much support from my employer. I am a deaf ed teacher. We are teaching online. I need help with some great direct instructions on how to make a google Bitmoji classroom and any help how to organize and make a clear google classroom so it’s not so confusing to my students. I know the basics but I need more help with things only you get taught from someone who knows or learned tricks to the program or is more savvy...

My daughter will be finishing school and in her own classroom for the first time this fall! I'm getting ahead of myself but I'd love to gift her a big basket of things (tools, supplies, etc) she'll need, especially the stuff that she might not think she'll need, along with just some fun things to help her settle in! I'd love some ideas of things you would've loved to receive when you were starting out?
