What can I expect my salary to be if I went into industry or government and have no B4 experience in NYC? I really don’t think public is for me
Max possible partner comp?
Current B4 senior getting promo’d to manager. Have an offer to join a smaller firm (BDO, Grant Thornton, etc) as a Senior consultant for 1 year with expectation that I’d promo to manager next year. New salary would be higher even as a senior vs what I’d make as B4 manager. New B4 salary would be 105k. New salary trajectory is 110k this year to 120+ next year. What do I give up by leaving B4?
Has anyone left a big 4 during the clawback period? I have been working at my firm for 8 months but I’m not sure if I can stay another 10 months and want to know if anyone has experienced this before.
If I quit for another Big 4 firm but different service line, will I still be asked to leave immediately?
Lateral move from one big 4 to another big 4 but 20k raise. Same location. Same service line (advisory) . What are your thoughts?
I have two offers on hand. One for 135k lower stress and nonprofit (acctg manager) annual bonus 3-5%. Another offer for 140k, but higher stress and a private company who’s looking to be bought out. Annual bonus is 20%. The latter fits the normal career goal. What should I do? Or stay at Big 4...
Those at big 4....how did you land your current job?? (I’m a year into consulting and looking for a new job but trying to find an entry point)
Anyone interested in equity or investment research? My firm is looking for Japanese speaking analyst (entry level). I’m Ex-big 4 audit and was recently hired on. Comment if interested.
27, director at B4 in TC. been a director 6 months. Do people think an MBA would add value or just slow my path to partner?
What are the PPMD pensions like at B4? Debating whether it's worth pursuing but don't know much about the plans. I've heard 10 yrs to enable a certain % of top 3 avg of salary.
Opportunity to jump to either MBB Data science arm (E. G. Gamma) or T2/B4 generalist consulting. Don't have a preference for type of work. Which would you choose based on exit opps/pay/culture?
I’ve done really well in my 2 years with my current big 4 firm and am coming up for promotion in July. I am sitting on an offer with a step up in title and 40% pay increase. They say grass is not greener on the other side (hello unlimited PTO and all the other terrible comments I’ve read for new firm. Guess who 😂😅) but it’s hard to justify not moving. Am I making a huge mistake leaving behind my 2 year hard work going to the unknown or should I just go for it and take the pay and title!? Help.
If I'm looking to go from a mid tier firm to either EY or PWC, how should I go about trying to get in? Wait for a position open or just send my resume in? Is it worth going B4 over say Baker Tilly?
How difficult is it to make the switch from one Big 4 to another? Not recruitment but more the transition e.g., building an internal network. Been at D for ~5 years and came from industry.

Have an offer of 40k pound from a big4 in Birmingham and another for 45k pound in London. Which one do you guys think seems reasonable. Both of the profile is for audit senior and the amount quoted is before tax and I have a dependent to support.
P.S. big4 salaries in UK doesn’t seems to be that high enough.
How long did it take you to find a good exit opportunity outside of consulting? Been looking for months, still nothing...😕
