HHI 1+M. I am cheap as can be. Love off Sax or even tj max. My hubby wears only Tom James. Luxury handmade clothes and for Christmas got me a custom fitted dress and sport coat. I adore the sport coat. But the coat was $1500 and dress $1k. Seems like a lot to spend but I do love the coat. No budget all but I typically never spend much and even less with covid.
My clothing spend has been inversely correlated with my income. When I was in NYC living on $45k a year, I shopped sample sales for as much designer crap as I could afford and skipped meals (a win win because I could fit in tiny designer sizes!) How I live in the suburbs and work from home and my splurge is an $89 pair of Vuori joggers NOT ON SALE. Living dangerously, I know.
But more seriously, I have a few pieces I like from MMLafleur or Theory that are just good basics (blazers, black pants, dresses) and I occasionally pick up a couple tops from Nordstrom Rack when I’m bored. Clothing is a really negligible part of our budget.
I’d say we spend $200-$300 monthly for a family of four. HHI of $450k. Most of it is for my kiddos. My husband wears scrubs which keeps his needs minimal. We don’t buy anything designer.
I don't spend too much on clothes overall...probably $2k per year. I do buy a fair amount of clothes, but I get a lot from TJ Maxx, LOFT, Banana Republic, and the like. I get such a thrill from bargain hunting, can't lie. Bags are more my weakness and I'll splurge there (occasionally). Annual HHI is $400k
I’ve never calculated but admittedly I don’t go overboard. My clothing is primarily Vince (the $80-100 shirts), jeans, a few good blazers (Talbots or brooks brothers), and Cole Haan shoes. I have 1-2 luxury bags (I don’t over do it) and my weakness is fine jewelry but admittedly I don’t feel the need as much anymore. P in consulting. Annual HHI, is $1.5-2M
Mostly diamonds. Like tennis bracelets.
I’m feeling like I really found my people on this thread. I would estimate I spend less than $2,000 a year on clothes. I don’t do designer brands but do splurge on the occasional bag (not included in that estimate). During Covid, probably under $800/year if I were to guess. HHI $750k+
