I only care about one thing: Competence.
-Coherent national response to diplomatically, informationally, militarily, and economically confront China
-National security strategy and non-kinetic effects / warfare capability focus and acquisition strategy (Space force and Cyber Command focus)
-public health policy
-fiscal responsibility within discretionary and non-discretionary spending categories
-public health policy including healthcare cost and innovation focus
-maintenance of energy independence
-prison reform across all levels of government
This gets me to a candidate even if I disagree with most other things. I’m a centrist and have voted for both Republicans and Democrats for all levels of offices across executive and legislative branches.

I agree with almost all your points, however the biggest issue for me is the partisan divide. It’s crossed the line to hatred and we need to address it - only then will there even be the ability to have common-sense conversations around the issues you’ve presented.

Acd1- I'm not. I seek shared perspective in my analysis though, especially from people who have different viewpoints.
If you must know, I'm 50/50 and in no rush to make my decision. Still evaluating the facts. Find the American smear political campaigns and emotionally charged language of the people running very distracting though.
It's not the intent of the thread to get into the debates of each individual topic. There's time to fairly do that in the future. Just share the list. What's yours?

Moral compass and sanity, honestly. I’m a liberal but would have gladly voted for a long list of republicans because I see them as relatively moral and sane. That’s what we need first and foremost in my opinion.
I think the largest issue for this election is how we outlaw and *severely* punish hate speech, misgendering, and improper use of pronouns.
