I'm currently serving a notice period with Tata Consultancy and have cleared an interview with a new company. They (new company) made me an offer on Aug 30, which I am yet to accept as I have responded to the offer with a counter offer since I was not happy with the salary correction.
My last working day with Tata Consultancy is Nov 14Th. The new company hasn't responded to my counter offer email. Are they taking time because of my lengthy notice term? By when should I expect them to revert?

My FIL goes by “daddy” and there ain’t no way I’m calling him that.
Lol
called them absolutely nothing until we had kids and now call them grandma and grandpa
Yeah, grandma and grandpa makes more sense. Not sure why. I guess because the blood link is more direct at that point

I preferred not to but my MIL got jealous that my husband called my mom “Mom”, so he asked me to call her “Mom” too.
Seeing as how I call my own parents by their first names, I dk how I would respond to that request….
Hellll no
To each his own. I have even called my friends mother mom in the past.
My wife and I call each other’s in-laws Mom and Dad. They’re our family also now and treat us like their kids even though we aren’t blood related. We should do the same to give them that respect. I’m also south Asian, it might be different in non-Asian cultures.
just call them by their first name or try to not say their names at all lmao i always say “my SO’s mom” lolol we’re not married but have been together for a long time
I use first names. Feels like the mom and dad thing is pretty generational and not many gen x/millennials do it
Not here.. I call them life insurance policy #1&2
You’re on a first name basis with them, but they are not your mom or dad.
