Had to track what I was doing every 15 minutes in a spreadsheet and explain why I didn't accomplish my task for the day. She was building a case to get me fired but I just quit.
Not as much as I would have liked. She ended up not getting promoted and also left after I quit. Womp wimp.
First job out of college I was at an oil company working under an Indian guy in his mid-60s. He’d come into my cubicle and grip the back of my neck super hard when talking to me. Or pat me on the back. He’d grab my arms and make a comment about steroids or all the women I must get. After 18mo of this I went to HR with him present and explained in detail what was going on. Two weeks later we were both let go.
Talk about cutting losses lol. O&G be savage like that
A manager who always sees something wrong in everything you do, and the cause for that mistake, for example, is because he did not tell you about it in the first place.

A few managers turned the practice into a Mean Girls type clique and if you weren’t liked, you got sidelined in the team.
We were already working 60 hour weeks when I was the only member of my team not included on some weekends meetings. I was super bummed at being excluded then I thought, fuck it, I’m not getting paid enough to work on weekends anyway.
I feel obligated to contribute as the OP: first job out of college (financial advisory), my brother unexpectedly passed away. I told my boss I’d be out for a week to go out of state to grieve and help with funeral arrangements and he gave me his condolences. Spent the whole week blowing up my phone, calling and texting me every second of the day saying I needed to come back and I needed to follow up on meetings with potential clients (even though I had backups in place) and kept saying my job was at risk if I didn’t come back sooner. I couldn’t grieve at all because of the stress from my boss and I ended up having a huge mental breakdown and quit the job promptly
That manager is a terrible person. I’m sorry you had to go through that.
Had a manager who was always walking their dog or on grocery runs (?), so I ended up doing all the work between meetings

Didn't happen to me but a friend was asking for 2 weeks off for her wedding which was happening back home. She had to and shop and finalise a bunch of stuff. He did OK her leave but also mentioned 'i dont get why you need to go that early. When I was getting married my partner only let me travel the day on my wedding'...........
