Recruiter reached out .. not sure what to expect and if it’s a later (level) move

I’m disappointed there isn’t an East Monroe.

Depends where you are coming from. Sr Principal is right below director at WMP, but a WMP director is equivalent to partner at a Big 4. As for comp, I can't tell you exact, but salary can be a little lower right now than the overall market with about a 15% target bonus and another 12% esop (estimating from past experience). We do greatly make up for the pay difference in other intangibles like a fantastic work life balance. I personally value that benefit alone at about $100k for me, so if you have a family this is a great place to be.

WM1 - am an expr SM from ACN and just recently joined Cognizant as a Director (which was a mistake ) .. is expecting a 5-10% drop in base the norm ? Also , are the ESOP awarded annually ?

I work at a boutique (currently ~14 bankers and 10 back office roles). Joined in august. Since august, 3 senior bankers (MD / VP) 1 HR director, and now 2 analysts have left for great opportunities. To be honest I’m happy and like my role, plus it’s too early to think about switching firms already. I am now the only analyst left, we have another one joining in January. Any advice on how I can leverage this for comp discussions at the end of the year?

I have been in full time permanent work my entire career. If I were to transition to a full time contract role where I’m paying for everything, what is a formula I can use to calculate the salary I want if I’m trying to get a 25% bump in my total compensation? Ex - if I currently make $100k as a permanent fte and my next job I want to make is $125k but I go from permanent to contract work, what is a suitable figure to ask for? Need to calculate paying taxes and the benefits I would be losing.

So Market is really hot obviously. I am wondering if it looks really bad if someone changes a job too often? I had two jobs since I left EY the first one was for 2 years, and the second one lasted 4 months but i switched a job with a better pay. I am in 3 months in but the there is a couple of great opportunities with better comp. Traditionaly, I am aware that it’s no good to change jobs too often…

Anybody else over working in the rat race altogether? I’ve jumped around a few times in the last 5 years, improving my comp and aligning more to my strengths and interests, yet I’m still unfulfilled. I’m pretty much doing exactly what the last 20 years of being in consulting has prepared me for: advising clients at the highest levels - and I’m bored. I’d love to leave and take up a more creative job, but of course, that doesn’t pay the bills - anybody think of, or actually made that transition?
