I have received a offer from Cerner for Technical solutions Analyst role. It's a support role on SQL and work timing is 5pm to 2 am. I was checking the reviews on Glassdoor and ambition box and i have read alot of bad reviews on management and dirty politics. After reading all this I am concerned if i should go ahead with the offer or not. Please advise how is the work environment, does management support learning and is their dirty politics within team? Dear fishes, I accepted offer from tech m and informed them 3 weeks prior to my tentative date in mail stating I will not be joining. Today, the HR called and threatened that he will put me in blacklist so that I cannot join any big companies for the next 10-12 years. Throughout the call, I spoke in a polite tone but the HR spoke harshly telling I wasted his time and stuff like that. My question is, Can they really put me in blacklist for other companies? We are not Bonded Labourers here. You can work for any company and any client. No one cares. They are not coming to you to check that. There is no way they can know this. So just let go. Do whatever you want. There are companies which say you have 2-3 yrs bond, but that is not abiding on you. People simply quit/abscond and join another one.
This clause is present in most of the Indian MNCs offer letter and has been there for a long time ... As far as I remember 15 yrs back also. Now this was only applicable for very senior level executives who dealt with business secrets. No company can enforce anything with this clause as its non tenable in court.

Why you guys cry for small things
They are telling you cannot work with the same client
You can work with any other client in TCS no one will stop you
.
Guys, cool down. These clauses are not new in Infosys offer letter. It was also mentioned in 2014 offer letter which I got when I joined Infy as a fresher in 2014. Screenshot attached.
Ignore that. I have seen many people resigned and joined client within 1 month. Infosys can't control anybody who has already left infy.
Isse pta chlta hai ki ye badi companies ek dusre ki Lanka lgane Mai lgi rehti hain😂😂😂

Exactly, Apna attrition rate thik karna chahiye hike dena chhaiye, policies sudharni chahiye....but nai...hum to bhai ye sab ch**iyap karenge🙂
This is because many of projects out from infosys and employees working in that projects are hired by infosys competitors with high package
@OP - please don't stress too much on this. Every company decides what's should be their policy so as Infy did.
If you are not agreeing then simply reject it.
Its not gonna change if you stress out here on this platform better talk to HR and update all of us on this group.
All the best for future journey
I remember this shitty same agreement was there when i joined infy as a fresher🤣
Whoever is saying it's not big deal then every big organisation should follow this but I haven't seen these clauses before.
Right
Support projects jindabaad!

This is not a big deal.

So one can switch to TCS from Infosys as long as I don't work for the client i worked in Infosys ?

Its nothing new. Youll find this clause in pretty much in all the offer letters. This is so that you don’t get poached to the same client in another company.
I don't know why its being brought up now, I worked in Infy in 2015 and signed the same agreement that I cannot join the client directly or work for the client via Infosys competitors. Its about client and not competitors.
You can ignore this and easily join any company. I guess it is only for 6months
Yes, this is the new caveat introduced by Infosys. Its hot topic now. Infosys union have raised this issue with the government but Infosys says it's normal and is practised in my org.

This is no new policy, This was given to me too when I joined Infy back in 2018 in their Non Compete Agreement-Annexure-III
Why people are making so much fuss about it right noe. It way older policy not new.
Chief
I even told my Manager that I have offer from Cognizant, to which he said good luck for future and didn't say anything related to the policy that. you can't join or anything.
How will employee know for which client they are going to work as mostly service based companies do no disclose the client details during interview process
