What kind of notice do we need to give to quit? I am an associate in a smallish firm, 10 admin or paralegals, 4 attorneys and the owner attorney, who doesn’t actually practice but considers himself a rainmaker. He just brings in all the business, and piles the work on us. Problem is he will take any case if he thinks they can pay, and he only cares about the new money coming in the door. We are all overworked and overwhelmed to the point that we are missing things and making mistakes.

I am just starting at a non profit staff attorney and I want to make the move to civil litigation work( ie plaintiffs side firm) in norther California. Any recommendations? Any openings?
