Creative director with less respect and pay.
What are you leading/who are you overseeing. How client-facing you’ll be. How much autonomy you’ll be given (who’s overseeing you). ACD has become a strange role since every agency views it differently/uses the term loosely.
depending on the market and the size of the agency, acd means very different things.
for some, it's a glorified senior creative. with no real additional responsibilities beyond that.
for others, it's essentially a CD role where you are meeting clients, leading business, managing teams.
do you know which type you're interviewing for?
That means you’ll be doing more work for less pay, but still a bump up from where you’re at.
