20-25%.... Actually I have no idea. I'm just parroting everything else I've heard.

200k+

Not $200k but between 20-30% is reasonable depending on how many years at Manager you are at

What ctc can i expect from gartner?

TCS Hr revised my ctc to 27.5lpa from 24lpa for C3A band & shared ctc break up. I negotiated asking him to revise the fixed comp to 26lpa & JB. He said that he would try for fixed comp of 26lpa but no JB. Later he came back saying he can't get an approval for 28lpa & asking me if I'm okay with 24lpa & he would try to get 24lpa also if possible. Is he trying to get the ctc down or does he can't get approval? How do I get him to give the 27.5lpa break up offer? YOE:9y6m Role:Infra ManagerTata Cons

Currently in finance ops group at a PE shop in Canada. In late stages of interview process w GS in NYC for similar role but at the Associate level. All indications point to an offer being imminent but I have concerns with 1) title (junior VP’s in the group have +1/-1 YOE than me, 2) base feels a bit light given I have 9+ YOE (job description says top end is US$160K)…Nervous for a change as current role is very comfy but nothing ever grows in comfort zones. I’m new to bonds so apologies if the question seems basic.
I’d like to buy a bond etf through a brokerage account and would like to know how does the dividend and dividend yield work exactly.
For BND, the dividend is 0.15 and the yield is 2.2%. Does it mean that for every BND I purchase I will receive 0.15 USD on a yearly basis?
And are these dividends distributed yearly from the date the bond etf is purchased? Or are they pro-rated somehow? Also do the dividends fluctuate with bons etf price?

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??

Tax question - I make about $200k and get half of my income from a W-2 and another half from being an independent contractor. Because, I’m subject to pay both FICA and SECA taxes. Do my social security taxes get capped on amounts paid above the ~$140k threshold across both my W-2 and 1099 incomes or am I out of luck and have to pay more than that since only about 100k of my income is FICA and the other 100K is SECA (which is subject to ~12% overall including the ER portion)?
