I’m bad at interviewing bc I can’t look at charts and come up with insights on the spot (it takes me a few minutes to process). But that doesn’t mean I’m bad at critical thinking. I feel like the interview process for MBB is flawed
Any tips for MBB case interview via Webcam?
Is it any easier to get an offer from MBB as an undergrad intern rather than a full time (out of UG) hire?
Has anyone exited to a FAANG equivalent (uber, airbnb, Tencent) from Big4, then further exited into MBB? Interested in seeing if it’s a possibility
Accenture AI, Big 4, and MBB which one is the best consulting company for Data Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer role? Thanks.
What are the odds of getting into MBB with a 2.9 college GPA, despite a proven work track-record/progression? Are they that strict with the GPA cut-off?
Whats the timeline for MBB background checks i.e. when does it start relative to accepting the offer and how long does it take? Accepted an offer with a February start date and want to get it over with ASAP. One last thing standing between me and putting in my notice 🙏
Planning to move to a EU country around summer 2021. Anyone who is a non-EU citizen got a consultancy job in EU countries can share your experiences. 1. How long it took to find a job ? 2. In what practice you got offered a job for ? (Such as technology or risk or IT etc) 3. Did you get offered a job by boutique consultancy companies or sticked with Big4 and MBB ? 4. How was the attitude of HR to you considering the fact that you were a non-EU candidate ? 5. What would be your hints to share ?
My lovely 🐟, really need to buy the Tumi Knox, can some MBB folks hook me up with their discount please? Pretty please?
Do MBB have facial hair policies?
Who has transitioned from MBB to Private Equity? What is the pay difference and would you do it again?
Is MBB worth it? I’ve never been in mbb or big 4. Just smaller consulting firms. Have a competing offer between FAANG and MBB. I’m in tech and FAANG is more interesting for my career as well as preferred work culture. However, I’ve seen a lot about MBB here and kind of want to join just so I can say I was in MBB. Is it gonna be killer hours? Promotion politics? Biases on my lack of education? hoping to hear what others have to say
What are some of the resources you use for researching business / industry trends? Gartner, HBR, MBB white papers?
Big 4 Advisory partner here about to start the search for a direct admit partner position at the other Big 4 or MBB. Advice on which exec placement agency you’d recommend I use to find my next job?
Replace Goldman Sachs with MBB in this video and you get this bowl https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx4poQw1mZo/
What are the primary executive search firms that support exits from MBB in Chicagoland? I want to exit there but currently working in Europe.
Just accepted a job at big 4, I have 1 YOE experience as a data scientist, plan is to stay for 2 years then go to MBB or masters…thoughts?
Anyone else feel like a fraud? I got promoted at 2 YOE but now I'm interviewing & realize my coding skills have atrophied. My time is spent on client comms and model design decisions. Should I be looking for PM exits if I don't want to code all day?
If anyone from Strategy& has a moment, I’d like to chat about an open role and discuss a potential referral. Thanks.
35 yo Asian male with more than 13 years of experience interfacing with senior management and execs at various companies on security strategy and operations type work. I have a very young looking face (baby face with barely any facial hair) and have been told I look like I’m 12. I have a deep voice when I talk and people usually listen. However, during every first impression from older gentlemen with facial hair, I always get the feeling that I’m too young to be in that meeting. How to deal?
What’s your 1-firm’s match % and vesting schedule? 2-Maternity leave, short-term disability benefit - Time given, % of continued compensation, years needed to receive benefit? I’ll start -
Ladies, have any of you made the jump from big 4 manager to mid-tier firm and not regret it? I feel like my optuons in industry in my city are not ideal and wouldn't offer the same flexibility as PA. At the same time, the culture in my office has become too toxic and don't feel like my contributions matter at all. Also, not to mention the lack of business case.
Pregnant with My first and due in May. I’m thinking about our future after the baby is born, as I haven’t been super satisfied with work. We’ve been thinking about both of us (my husband and I) to go freelance next summer. Anyone out there already doing that? Any Advice?
Why is leaving for Microsoft not seen as good as FAANG? I’d argue Microsoft is probably better than Netflix at the minimum
How’s FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, apple, Netflix and Google) presentation in the region? And if they are present how’s the WLB and reputation?
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Special Education teachers and General Education teachers should work as a team together to help students mainstreaming, to be successful in the classroom.
I might get roasted for asking such a basic question but - how much do you budget for eating out ($ amount or % of budget)? Pre pandemic I was traveling 5 days a week and just used left over per diem on the one night I went out with friends at home. During covid I stayed home. Now that I’m fully vaccinated and are many of my friends they want to go out to eat/drink. During covid I moved from a LCOL to HCOL city so I’m experiencing delayed sticker shock at the prices. Any tips?
Have a video interview with a healthcare startup tomorrow. Wondering if I should be wearing a jacket or just a shirt is ok ? The person I’m interviewing with is a vp around 30 years old.

What should I do if my start date is Monday and I haven't received my work laptop yet? I reached out to my recruiter Monday and never heard anything back. This is for a big 4 firm.
Are there top consulting firms that take on experienced consultants w/o an MBA? I refuse to get an MBA and not sure if that precludes me from joining a top consulting firm. Thoughts?
