A1 those timings are kinda off.
A-1 yr
SA-1-2 yr
M 2-3yr
Senior consultant at deliotte is a consultant at acn.
Something that might be useful for you, levels at ACN and how long you're usually at them:
Analyst: 1 year
Senior analyst: 1 year
Consultant: 3-4 years
Manager: 2-3 years
Senior Manager: up to 5 years
Managing Director
There are several levels with MD
I’d argue M > SM in two years is very aggressive. 3-4 is probably more the norm.
Im a SM at ACN, A1...
I believe Deloitte goes A, C, SC, M, SM, PPED
What I meant was I bet you will get some strong opinions from folks at Uncle D
So i correctly stated that SC at D equals C at acn, the level below manager in both cases. SC at ACN is the same thing as C but desginates MBA hire
There is no direct linkage. Recruiting will recommend a matching level but all of this is so frequently overridden, it doesn't even matter. You will get a level your hiring MD or SM decides you deserve based on skills, demand and impression.
^LOL
Let’s see how long that comment survives
SM1, why don't you outline the levels at Deloitte and how long someone is typically at them then and we can compare :)
I see! Would someone from Deloitte like to chime in with the typical years at level then?
I mean c->m
A2, Consultants in some practices (such as Strategy) actually aren't even eligible for promotion to Manager until year 3. May differ in other practices of course, but here it's usually 3-4
I think a lot of people manage to skip a year and go c1->c3 after their first year
The numbers after the C indicate years at level, hadn't heard of "skipping" years before. But maybe it's different in your practice! :)
Used to be at ACN and they were stretching Consultant level from 2-3 to 3-4 years before making Manager. Wound up leaving after they came back at year 3 saying it would now be year 4.
Associate Manager if in CD&O which is where SI was moved to, Consultant if C&M.
