Manager / Sr. Manager at PwC

like

Agreed and same for Senior Principal at Slalom / SM at PwC

Principal is equivalent to 3rd-4th year Manager. Sr.Principal is equivalent to Senior manager. Sr. Consultant is equivalent to 1st-2nd year Manager. This is based on salary ranges and responsibility as someone who has been in Accenture & Slalom

like

Sr Principal base at Slalom will be 160-190k. That is last year SA or M1 at Big 4 (Strategy). I know because I interviewed and I was offered $160k base as a Sr Principal.

like

Question was about equivalence. I have no fear of being put on a plane for 10 months to Minneapolis for a brutal SAP implementation. Cost? Priceless. :). I mean, ACN and Deloitte both pay higher than K, if you are just hunting for dollars. And we both know Strategy is higher than the rest of Advisory...

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

Will moving to a smaller company from B4 impact my career as such in the long run? Especially a company which is still growing and has only 150 employees at this moment. It’s not widely known in the market. But, it is growing at a fast pace in the last couple of years. From a work culture perspective, this company offers a lot of flexibility, emphasizes on wlb and employee satisfaction. Been wanting to get out of the toxic B4 work environment. I don’t want to make a hasty decision and regret.

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
