Just check JD power. This is hardly an area where anecdotes will be more valuable than hard data compiled from millions of consumers. If all you want are anecdotes you’ll hear Lexus as a top contender.
In that case the Korean manufacturers dominate because they focus primarily on that 3 year reliability survey, except everyone knows beyond that timeframe is where things can really go wrong. Also, the most reliable car according to JD Power is a Porsche 911...cars that I know several owners who only put 2-3000mi per year on.
Not Audi, although I keep buying them
Or Mercedes…but didn’t stop me…

Acura is great in regards to maintenance. Just the typical stuff
The one you lease
A1 is right on. $199/mo leases can be the cheapest way to get transportation.
BMW, just drive around with bald tires and the service light on like everyone else 😎🆒
Does BMW manual expressly state that brake dust must never be removed from wheels?
Range Rover
PwC2 said Range Rover, not BMW…
Acura’s been cheap to maintain for me. I don’t know if you’d call it Luxury though.
Agree with the software. I preferred Infiniti over Acura for that.

Porsche : Personal exp
I hav a 2017 Porsche Macan S. Absolutely love it, might upgrade to a 2022 redesigned Macan S.
I’ve heard very good things about 2016-2019 911 991 and 992s. 997s which is slightly older are also very nice.
Base : Yes they’re Porsches but Meh 🫤 V4
T : Turbo charged Base version V4 + Turbo : Meh 😑 + Turbo 😆
S : V6 with Turbo - Best as a daily driver.
GTS : Absolute the best of the breed V6 with Twin Turbo
Turbo : Rocket ship 😂
S vs 4S are the 2WD vs 4WD. Similarly for rest of the trims.
Porsche
Lexus and it’s not really close
I've had them all for the most part (not Volvo), and it was easily Lexus.
Tesla. Only 3% of the moving parts of an ICE age car.
Lexus
Lexus is basically Toyota internals. So.. yeah lexus
Lexus or Acura, If you’d consider Acura luxury.
I have had a lot of luck with 3-6 year old BMWs maintained by independent mechanics or myself.
I have had an acura TL -S since 2008, haven't put money into it since 2018, only drive around 5000miles a year now. I am at 160k odd miles on it. Still enjoy driving it but has been backup car for past 5 years or so..
Leasing was cheaper until the used car market went crazy.. Now I'm buying a car after 10 yrs of leasing...

Use a broker. In October last year, I got 6.25% off MSRP for a M340I awd. Every dealership I called, around 5, said MSRP
True answer is specific to the car. Every manufacturer has good and bad models. Generally avoid the first year from any brand. Overall reliability I would say Lexus and Acura but other brands like Lincoln and Cadillac have some good models to.
Porsche is the most reliable European brand.
Lexus is probably the most reliable luxury brand overall
