Have you ever wondered if the questions in the HR/behavioural interviews are considerate for people who are extremely literal? E.g. asking a candidate that the recruiter reached out to “why they want to work for <insert big conglomerate here>”. Well, that would be a very weird question to answer without knowing what position/team the applicant is meant to work on.

Do we find that settling a case is really that big of a deal in our industry? I always get congratulatory messages and such, which is great to get the attention & recognition... I just don’t feel it’s as big of accomplishment. Am I undermining this? Overthinking it?

Would it be a faux pas to ask a recruiter to connect me with a recruiter for another area? Applied for a tax role and was turned down in favor of an internal candidate, but told to reach out if I found something I was interested in. My sister wants me to pay for my father's hospitalization and related costs

My parents planned a trip to the US and never told me. My sister helped then plan. In the US, my father fell sick and had to be hospitalized. They did have travel insurance but there were still a lot of out of pocket expenses and other expenses related to rescheduling tickets, etc.

My sister contacted me once she got the bills and told me "as their son" I should be paying for everything.

This is a question for healthcare HR. I was exposed at work to an employee who tested covid positive after our shift. We were told 4 days after that this employee was positive and hospitalized. I was encouraged to test and was told after the test that the recommendation is to quarantine until test results are available. My surgical center said they can not accommodate the time off work. If I stay home and wait for results am I abandoning my job. Thoughts.
