For me, it’s a variety of reasons:
- not wanting to have health problems
- hating how I looked/crying when I looked in the mirror
- wanting to look nice in clothes

I was bullied when I was younger because of my weight by relatives and people at school so I got into an unhealthy relationship with diet and exercise but NOW it’s much healthier. I workout to get strong and care for my health, whereas I used to do it because I hated myself.

Started feeling extremely uncomfortable in my body. It also helps me mentally and if I want to relax / be lazy that day, I don’t feel guilty doing exactly that after I’ve already worked out

A few years back, ex and his roommate were creating a startup fitness app. Got involved as a beta tester. Those were the crumbs that led to now. Stopped training for a bit. Then got back into it.

I began gaining weight from work. Always had a goal of being super thin.

When the city started to reopen in Sept. 2020, I thought about using up all my training credits from the gym. My new trainer helped me get stronger even though that wasn't really my goal. Now, I love lifting, working out, and my body.

Because I hated how I looked and wanted to lose weight. Still not satisfied with how I look but at least I don't hate myself anymore

I used to be overweight, lost some weight in a manual labor job in high school, saw how I felt & other people treated me, got addicted to the improvement. Few feelings better than finishing a shower and liking what you see in the mirror or when you touch your face and can feel the bone structure.

I was pretty fit pre-covid, most of my exercise was from walking to the office (30 mins each way) and just generally being on my feet more. I wasn’t active all of 2020 and I started seeing my BPM increase with minimal movement and got so out of shape. My heart would be so fast, it got scary. I just started jumping rope to ease into a cardio routine. Basically worried about my heart health

I’m used to having a stable weight all through high school and college. One day I weighed myself and was 20 pounds heavier. Bit of a reality check…I went from an active school life to working from home while still not working out and keeping my same eating habits so now I make it a point to exercise 3-4 times a week and eat healthier

Parking at Gurugram office has become a problem big enough to start thinking of another job. It’s so inconvenient to imagine taking public transport in 48 degrees. How can you expect employee to come office and not offer parking or cabs? It’s like employer asking you to work without a laptop.

Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.

Employee was terminated once employer learned of her bf being an ex-felon. I know we are an at-will state, but can a claim be filed about this? Gym etiquette question - I was in the weight room of my gym and a girl was on a machine for at least 15 min, most if which time she was just sitting on her phone. I did the rest of my workout and politely asked if she was still using it because I could see that she was just sitting. She said no so I said no worries, I’ll wait until she was done. I’ve done dry January and a lot of weight melted off. I was already shooting to keep it going through to March. For super lean people (borderline Instagram models), do you still drink alcohol after your 20s? I remember a male stripper in Vegas told me he only drank a shot of vodka once a year 😂 and that was the extent of his drinking, but he looked great.

Need suggestions for how to make cauliflower rice not taste like cauliflower. I love rice, eat it almost once week (significantly cut down from eating it almost every day as a child through college 😅) so switching to cauliflower rice is a challenge since texture and taste wise, I just KNOW it’s not rice. Usually eat it with seasoned chicken and veggies. I like regular cauliflower but for some reason, riced cauliflower has a stronger cauliflower taste for me?
