A higher salary
Actually forcing SMs and partners to adopt F&P policies. They aren't really incentivized to do so now. If I had better work/life balance or felt less pressure to respond to emails immediately 24/7 would be way better. Also fewer firm contribution requirements. Those are just out of control. I put in 200 hours last year.
Hard no on pet insurance - as someone who will never own a pet, I'd resent it. Do something that everyone can benefit from.
It what happens sc1 if you don't have any of those. You do not get the same benefit. What if you are a runner and only buy shoes for fitness? Then the fitness subsidy doesn't benefit you. Benefits will never benefit everyone
A shock collar to zap your manager once per project
D1, idk about you but I highly doubt people leave due to not flying business class. Most people leave because they miss some semblance of work life balance and family life.
Sc1 - then how do you feel about parental leave? Not everyone has kids.... what about pet adoption leave?
Deloitte offers pet insurance. But you have to elect it and it comes out of your paycheck like all other insurance. Y'all are trippin. Agree on First/Biz, higher pay, and work remote
K1 If we added that, I doubt I would ever leave. Practically guaranteed 1K/GS with (even more) boatloads of miles
The leave policy at D is inclusive of taking time to care for a sick family member, an aging parent or sick sibling. This benefits everyone. Also, humans >>>>>>> pets.
Stop emailing me after 10 pm and expect an instant response .....
I don't think fringe benefits are a factor at all in people's employment decisions and most firms are over spending on these items. People generally want in some order compensation, opportunities, and quality of life. Not much can be done in pay (other than to cut other benefits) but I feel there are ways to improve around better aligning opportunities and work flexibility
^wAit we can't use the fitness subsidy on shoes? Bought like 5 pairs
Not going to engage in this debate, SC2. If you can't figure out that the number of people who have immediate family members that are alive (and could potentially need care) is much larger than the number who want a pet, there's no point in talking further.
There is no single benefit that will be utilized by 100% of people, but almost everyone has a family. It's worth investing in family leave. Stop being pedantic.
Higher contribution to my 401k
Definitely xmas week off. I want my time outside of working hours to be valued.
The year I'm not allowed to take 2 weeks off for Christmas is the year I'll be quitting.
