I think I’ve given up on the notion of Project Management and Account Management ever working in harmony.
Creatives, Strategists, Developers are great to work with, collaborative, trusting, etc. But I can count on 1 hand the number of Account folks I’ve enjoyed working with over a long career at many agencies. Anyone ever make the jump to an internal PM role with no client work?

My friend is having 25+ YOE in software development. He doesn't like management jobs. He wants to be in development related activities in his entire career.

How much it's possible? Upto how much age the one can hold development activities.

Most of the companies wants to handle management related activities too.

I do L & E but don’t have experience w/ military contractors. SO works for a military contractor on a gs pay scale and is doing significantly more work than another person at her same gs level at the same position. This other person is so incompetent that they are having to assign my SO even more of the other person’s duties. I told her to negotiate a raise bc she’s doing more. She says they can’t just give her a raise and that’s not how gs works. Is this true? Any insight would be helpful. Ty!
