Crypto noob — I plan to start investing in crypto currency.... yes, yes, tell me more about how silly I am to start this late :)
I did some research on the Block chain technologies and cryptocurrency market and here are my top 3s, and I’d love to hear your opinions. I have <5k to start. Yup, broke.
Best system for trading/asset exchange: 1) gdax, 2) Gemini, 3) coinbase.
Best places to invest now : 1) ether, 2) Litecoin, 3) Ripple or NEM. Given I have only 5k, BTC is too late.
Mistakes/pitfalls to avoid: 1) day trading, 2) not keeping up (news, red flags, market research), 3) tracking circulation
Again, serious responses appreciated!
80% BTC. For me goal on my 20% alts is to outperform BTC then I can have more BTC for no fiat conversion. Long term is for an alt or two succeed building the next blockchain generation colaborating with BTC while the ones that compete directly will fail. If you have serious money into this like me, you better load it up your cold wallets with btc
Dafuq you doing in this bowl?
You should have btc in your portfolio. Without a doubt.
It's an asset and provides diversification so yes; however, you should've bought a few months ago. Prices are levelling out again.
0% of BTC proper, but I hold GBTC in my IRA.
68%, I feel good about my holdings. I have a separate alts portfolio of 30 or more coins at around 1.5 btc. Just want to speculate this year and see what happens. It feels like fresh ground similar to 2014, a once and a lifetime chance to catapult.
Currently holding two BCH for each BTC. I think BCH and/or ETH will outperform it in the end
None, though about 40% of my Portfolio is BLX
0%, and it will stay thay way
17.5%. Took some profit on alts and converted to btc to bump me up from about 11%. Alts have had a great run trying to manage risk now. Also converted about 20% of my portfolio into cash sitting on the sidelines for now. Other 62.5% is split across alts with weight towards smaller caps (although some have run at this point).
It's all about ether
33%
30%
0% all alts mainly ERC20 tokens
Depends on age but I’d say 3pct
70%
MK1, 100% of my savings. It would take me 9+ years to recover in case I lost everything. 9 years for me is expensive. It is not if you are in your early 20s. How about you? Would 3% BTC make any difference? What is your portfolio strategy and why not all in alts/projects?
Define fine
Fine as in my portfolio since I started in December has outperformed btc, primarily with ETH omg ltc xmr icx and some others. That doesn’t mean btc shouldn’t be part of portfolio going forward though
<5%
