How long does BGV take place with Optum?
Hi, I have recently got the offer from HCL Technologies, they are offering only 7LPA and I have a counter offer in Cognizant, they offering me 8.8 LPA. I spoke with the HCL HR on the same, HR said that they will revise the offer two days before my joining date. This was happened over the phone call, so I mailed them to send me a mail, detailing all the information we talked over the call, but still I didn't get any mail from them. Now they are urging me to upload the docs. What I do??

They think money will solve everything
Coronavirus has shown how much work can actually be done from home and how a lot of travel could be cut out and reduce our carbon footprint. I know some work will always have to be in person, but we could all do with a few remote days a week!
Just to caveat this, environmental benefits we are seeing will be short lived unless structural changes are made!
Politicians failing to acknowledge a serious issue until it’s too late.

Overblown by the media, despite how serious it is.

As someone self-quarantining and terrified he has it due to sharp chest pain, and infrequent dry cough. I believe I can be in pain, infected, fearing death -- and still not something which is likely to infect 70% of the population right away, and that death rates are probably quite lower than it's made to seem.
To me, it sounds like her 2 points seem rational:
1) not as many people will be infected as everyone says
2) it makes sense to loosen distancing norms in less dense areas, before loosening in dense urban areas. Similarly, to redirect supply from less critical areas.
Having it yourself adds importance to it, but it need not be important to others. Especially to low risk groups.
The unwillingness of individuals and society at large to take the advice and recommendations of subject matter experts seriously. Everyone seems to think they have the right to their own opinion on how serious it really is even though it’s a question of science rather than a question of personal opinion.

There are people who deny the damage Homo sapiens did to environment that caused a climate change and don’t give a damn by trying to change any consumption and waste habits. There are people who deny covid 19, hoard stuff and don’t give a damn about others by going out.

Both are global problems. You can argue who is more responsible for climate change to date or the spread of coronavirus but given where we are at, everyone has to pitch in and be on the same page.
What people believe and the level of which they believe it IS NOT correlated with their level of knowledge on the subject.
Both terms start with the letter ‘C’

Laissez-faire free market principles don’t consider existential threats to humanity.
None, because people are actually taking coronavirus seriously, while climate change will have a much larger death toll.

Politics over science. Republicans refusing to acknowledge a problem until it is too late. Doing nothing to prepare or curtail the impact.
Taking action or responsibility when it’s already too late
Two global catastrophes arising from the clash of nature and modern human activity. Any effort to stop and combat both with disrupt the economy. Americans being too individualist and refusing to follow protocols or too lazy and ignorant to do “their part” to help combat either issue. The media causing panic and everyone turning both into a political mess.
Countries with federated governments have no change of slowing either.
