💲For those who DON'T think a six figure salary is possible:

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

My wife is up for a promotion to Martech Director. We cannot find good data on where salaries are at for this level of position. Midwest region. 11 years experience marketing analytics leader. Been with company for a couple years and successfully navigating other tech stack discussions including developing people, vendor selection, project management and everything that goes with being a Martech leader who’s been around the block. She’ll get to back fill a analytics manager with direct reports

If an upward market correction in salary happens in the upcoming appraisal, can it play negatively for someone who just got promoted in June 2021, considering that they recently received a promotion hike of around 20%?

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
