Does Bank of America do a Mega Back door 401K?
Start with your 401k, put a budget together to see how much you can afford.

I do 22% between my trad/Roth/after tax 401k, 10% in my ESSP and like 2-2.5% in my HSA.
So that's like 34% before hitting my Roth IRA/outside brokerage accounts.
About 17%. I’m not a super high earner and I’m rebuilding my emergency fund so I can’t put as much toward it as I’d like.

If you’re not doing anything right now, I’d recommend starting with 5% into your 401k. See if you notice the difference, then increase 1% a month (or every other month) until you’re at the max contribution for it. I invest 15% of my salary into my 401K and 10% into my brokerage and emergency account.
