What personal time items have you given up to do the commute to the office? K&E just returned and I’ve given up 30 minutes of sleep and making breakfast, not bad!

I’ve given up an hour of billing per day. I need my sleep.

Firms think they can extract from you the same productivity after the commute and water-cooler is added back in. Tsk, tsk.

I have yet to go into the office. Seems like nobody misses me there. This is either really good or really bad.

Id say 70% attended and already dwindling after 1 day

Still WFH because nobody in my group cares.

Same

Still wfh but the days I go in for meetings or lunch I lose at least 3 hours - so these firms need to decide do they want us billing or sitting in an office not communicating with each other, you can’t have it both ways and anytime 3 years out is probably more profitable at home then in the office.

Also if you want me to eat all this commute time your going to need to do something on the back end to make bonus lol.

I’ve added a half hour of audiobook or podcast listening / meditative work-free time during commute, just trying to make the most of the situation 🤷‍♀️

None. NFW I’m going back to the office at this time.

Is K&E back in full time?

Hello all! I was reached out by Publicis Sapient for their Technology Strategy Consulting team and by Capco. Does anyone know what's the work life balance/pay at both of these firms? I am currently at EY under tech consulting making 90K a year in NYC with 1.5 YOE Staff 2 but I do feel I am feeling a bit burnt out at EY. I was wondering if I should wait until I hit Senior then start recruiting with the Senior title or just start recruiting now. Thanks!

Those of you with the Beis work tote (not the mini), do you think it’s too big of a bag for day to day carrying during a month long trial? I’m looking for something that can carry my laptop and a decent amount of supplies (notepads, personal care items, etc.) and have heard good things, but the work tote looks massive in the product photos online!

Is it okay that I’ve been a slow junior as we’re hours away from closing? I’m trying to be proactive and available to cross things off the list but I’m SLOW: takes me long enough that they do it themselves (even though this wasn’t an issue earlier in the deal) and even on quick tasks or emails, they respond to it before I can click send. There’s also so much about closing that I don’t understand and I feel like I’m bothering the higher-ups on the team whenever I ask. *end anxiety post*

Aside from letting people know I'm available and doing pro-bono/CLE, it's starting to feel like a serious "covidcation" leading to termination.
