What positions have you or people in your office left for as directors in FDD? It seems like most people in FDD leave as seniors or managers so it would be interesting to hear about the types of exit opportunities for more tenured individuals.

Most people in fdd leave as seniors and managers but I know of a few who left as senior managers / directors. The roles included sr finance manager role (the sell side management liked him) and another left to be a cfo at a startup (I think backed by a larger corporate).

I'm an account manager, but want to get better at helping and managing my team. So, I've started doing some of the copywriting myself so I can get a better feel for what's involved, what's needed, and how I can help others improve.

Can you please advise if I should continue in PreSales as far as salary growth is concerned? (I’m getting 17 LPA which I feel is a bit in the lower side)

As you grow with your company and take on more responsibilities, delegation becomes MANDATORY to be effective in your role.

Just don't confuse delegation as an excuse to get away from tasks while you don't work on anything important. Rather, use it to grow efficiently by working on the most important tasks while others help you.

Offer help - yesterday I’ve received an offer from DataDog for Services Architect 3 role on their expert services team (ProServe) - pre sale solution and engagement.

Offer was as follows Base: 155k RSU: 22.5k (90k total over 4 years, 1 year cliff).

I currently make 170k base + ISO (private company so kinda hard to evaluate). I’m 4.5 YOE

I said it needs to be more in 210-220 range in order to switch. She’s going to talk to the manager on Monday and get back to me.

What do you guys think?

I have an offer to join a Tier 2 consulting firm next year (entry level). However, it seems like they have over-hired and they are now pushing the start date back by a few months. This is not great in itself, as I handed in my notice to my current employer last week, but I was wondering if I should be concerned about further pushbacks or even them withdrawing the offer. Is this something that happens, or will it just be a delay as they say?
