I left a role with a fantastic team that really enjoyed working for me as of yesterday. I’m going to manage a new team, and the lateral move is generally seen as a big step up for me even though it’s lateral.

I got to say though… that’s got to be one of the hardest goodbyes I have done! I am leaving that team because my boss was abusive and misogynistic. I guess it’s just that I am leaving a bunch of really great people in his hands and I am worried for them.

In the discussions.. I was not aware about their band structure so I accepted it but I saw few ppl with 9 yrs exp also getting C2.
Shall I accept the offer or talk with HR for D1 band. Not sure If they ll change it. They gave 85% hike over my current CTC.

Got an offer for a tech company, midsize, public.

120 + 60k RSU (over four years) + 0 bonus

I currently make 117 + 5-15% bonus, so honestly total comp will be very similar. I've tried negotiating but they say this is top of range.
