United at LGA can suck my fucking balls
I have accepted an offer for the role of Director of Data Science & Analytics and I'll be working with old colleagues. I am very excited. I haven't given notice yet because I am waiting for the background check to complete, but my boss just asked me about traveling to a meeting in November. I start at the new job Oct 25. I'm really struggling for how to respond. If I were not leaving it is absolutely a meeting I should be at. I don't want to respond with a lie. Any dvice on how to respond?
Friends with smaller classrooms and 25 + students, can you send pics or give some suggestions of your favorite desk layouts? I need new ideas please! (Don’t be fooled by the picture, it’s much smaller than it seems).
Currently working as a Manager in Risk Services. Acquia offered a Partner Manager role. Thoughts ? Would it be a lateral switch ? Worth it ?
How are people "networking" now that we are wfh? I mean, you are barely even aware if people still work in the same company. Previously, you at least saw them every now and then at the office but now... They could have fired half the company and I wouldn't know
I feel like I need a career coach because I am considering switching jobs but I don’t know where to go or where to start. I feel really overwhelmed and don’t know what I’m qualified for. And then always worried another job could be worse than the one I’m in now. Am I the only one like this? Where do you start? I can look at job postings and all but idk what I want to do long term. Especially with WFH I feel like there’s absolutely no networking or anyone to talk to outside of my team
If you get some development points and a partially at level in your third year, are you screwed for promotion?
I’m trying to figure out what my in hand paycheck would be after all the ore tax deductions (benefits, 401K, etc) when I work in NYC and live in NJ. Is there a calculator that can help with this?
Is anyone else in credit card debt?
I’ll be having a convo next with where I tell my manager I got another offer, how do I ask for a counter offer without demanding one? All the things I’m looking for (WFH, title change) are things I’ve been asking for. For example,I’ve been doing the EP role for a year without the promotion.
Hey 🐠, what is your base salary vs. the price of your home when you bought it? I’ll start - I’m currently at a 115k base and paid $218k for my home. I live in Atlanta.
So I am going to try and jump ship from PWC before the sale, should I start dressing in suits now so days I interview look less werid or just call out sick each day I have an interview?
How are industry case study interviews compared to consulting firms? Also, what would you consider to be a “math case”? This is for a strategy analyst position in industry.
Perspectives on Managing Director (newly promoted) base and variable comp across big 4 and equivalent firms looks like these days?

Anyone have experience moving from a mid-tier firm to B4? What big differences have you found in work load and stress level if any? Is the switch really worth it. Currently A2 and on track to S1.

Condolences to the family of the teacher in North Carolina that recently died from Covid. Sadly-she won’t be the last of our profession to die in the “line of duty.”
Hi there! For the last 20 years, I’ve been in project/program manager roles. Most recently, I spent the last 12 years in a learning development role managing the development of sales and technology training. Also, facilitating and partnering with sales on the development of Hunter workshops and sales/Pre-sales new hire training. I’m looking to switch careers to being in sales as an account manager / sales development rep. Advice on how to get interviews in this new dream role?
