PhDs are in the same "advanced degree" track as target MBAs here. Same salary. If you're an economics/business PhD or something you get a premium over MBA sometimes if you negotiate, but not for science.
I’ve heard it can be a bit tougher without mba and earlier work experience. Any verification?
It is tougher, you essentially have the same pay and expectations as an MBA but not the experience. People struggle but usually are fine after the 6 month mark and add depth to the capabilities.
We’re talking post-consulting right? Why the 6 month timeframe?
My bad, I confused this with PhDs coming into consulting. Don't see why there would be a difference post consulting. If anything you have a fancier title.
Thanks for the replies!
