70k when I first entered the Chicago market with just over two yrs of experience. 12 years and a few agencies later, 99k.

How?!

Following. I make 58k and have around 4.5 years PM specific experience.

Assoc Dir (just haven’t updated my title here) 100k - 8.5 yrs exp, feel underpaid, but following here to see if that’s true or not.

I make $100k as a senior PM in Chicago with 8 years of experience.

Depends widely based on agency, experience, connections...a lot of factors. I'd say an average for a mid level with at least 2 years experience is 60 to 80k... Senior PM with 3 years+ experience, 70 to 100k ...wide ranges because, again, a lot of factors. Biggest factor is negotiation skill. I went from 45k to 100k in 2 years, then 120k and a supervisor title by year 3, and now with 6 years experience have been at 140k for 3 years now. I'm targeting 160 to 180k for my next opportunity. Please feel free to DM if you're interested in coaching.

Probably a bit premature but would like some advice. Current in-house sr counsel at 155k +15% bonus in NJ. Company is well established private company. In the latter stages of interviewing for an established startup- salary will likely be 180-200 plus equity (pre-ipo). Very happy currently but promotions are hard to come by. Thoughts on using an offer (if one comes) as leverage for a raise (which they’re working on) or just making the move to be number 2 attorney at new company

Been practicing a year now. Of 6 attorneys, 4 will be retiring soon, and I was brought in to hopefully take over. I am troubled: first that my partners largely provide me with no guidance. They handed me a client with a large quantity of fairly straightforward casework and have been hands off since. There also hasn’t been any talk of a raise/performance review. How should I ask for guidance/mentor ship? How do I ask for a raise, or should I presume one is coming?

Considering leaving for another firm job, one year in. Thoughts? New position would be a better practice area fit and would only work with clients in the industry I want. Currently it’s about 60% of what I’d like. Also, current firm seems to be stagnating with low hours to go around. I’m worried about not making hours, missing my bonus, and low professional development. Comparable on prestige & exit options and would be $5k less. Just worried about burning bridges and leaving “too soon.”
