Currently @ Accenture, Talent & Organization Pracrice, joined on sept 2021 after some years as in-house HR. I’ve worked on 2-ish change mgmt projects so far and come to understand that it’s not my thing. I’d like to switch to a more tech path (e.g. HRIS, AI applied on HR, HR analytics).

Amazing: understands a client’s process and pain points then addresses those areas specifically. Helps the client use workday as a tool to better their processes. Ultimately learns their clients and their success criteria then delivers a product that makes the most sense for that clients needs
Average: knows their own module, can implement it and train the client
Amazing: knows the entire suite of modules in their area (HCM, FIN), can troubleshoot and provide workarounds to complex problems on the fly, understands the entire lifecycle of the employee from hire to payment and financial reporting, understands how to provide true value in terms of automation, reporting, analytics etc, understands all aspects of project management, has executive presence and can easily sell the product and provide clear proof. how their firm can deliver more effectively and provide better value than others. Also they are a clear leader and highly in demand for questions, training, presentations etc by their peers and the client.
The consultant really needs to be empowered by a great SOW to be amazing. A lift and shift SOW is not going to show off anyone’s amazingness.
