Your degree and school will help you get started in the field, but further down the road, it's much more about your experience and how well you market yourself and your value to future employers. I got an MBA in 2002, and it doesn't really do much for me today when I test the job market. What does is my experience and how well I can articulate my value.
OP - what do u make now? You coming in As a M has nothing to do with the SA MBA's we hire. If you have a MBA from a top school it should be reflected in your current salary and your new salary will be based on that. Get the logic?
Sure it is. It's called the market v. your expectations. They don't base experienced hire offers on the market for MBA grads, even if you think they should. Sorry - but the market wins.
D1 What the hell are you talking about. I'm asking the range for managers and somehow you're saying my skills aren't needed without knowing anything about my situation. Salty AF
So MBA SA hires never make more than what they start at. Yeah, makes sense. 🤔
Being in C&O, I agree with K2
Sounds like a good offer. What are u making now? Just a FYI - our year end evaluations will happen in July/aug and raise/bonus will be given starting October. You will not be eligible for a raise or bonus in this performance year - you will be eligible next year
OP, welcome to Procurement Ops or "POP". If you need anything or have any questions, let me know!
We will align you to higher purpose!
KPMG do that - huh, who knew
125-140 range. What's your $ right now?
If new SA's out of b school start at $140k+ no way that's right k2
OP do you have an MBA from top 20 / K target schools? If so that expectation is fair (and you make more than 140k now). If not, that argument doesn't work
You're the one testing the market. Apparently the market for your skills is pretty bad. 🤷♂️
Yeah you're not gonna get more than $140k as M1 despite background.
OP, I don't think anyone is saying that a MBA SA hire will never make more. That's where they may come in at and salary will grow accordingly. If you're an experienced hire from somewhere else it depends on experience.
OP - sounds good like your expectations might be too high. Come back here when you have a number. Will be interesting to hear your feedback
$140K initial offer.
Sounds right on point and at the high end of the ranges provided. I think that roughly lines up with a Deloitte 1st yr M as well now - but the range can be large.
