Pack you, move stuff, and temporary housing while you find a new house…minimum

The cost of movers, temporary place to stay, travel expenses, realtor fees, and storage at a minimum. Are you going anywhere good?

+1. I wish I had asked this before I relocated. I totally underestimated the costs.

If you have to fly out a couple of times to finalize or to find a new place, ask them to cover those trip expenses as well. That and moving fees is what I wish I had known to ask for.

Try to get a tax step up - if you don’t you end up paying a lot back to the gov

If you’re junior level shoot for 7-10k, senior level shoot for 20+ IMO...

Trying to figure out which is better - thoughts?

Also I I had a 4.0 for my masters but a 2.9 for my Bachelors - I actually applied to L.E.K. with 3.3 with my Bachelors by mistake (didn't think they cared) - Thoughts on how to bring it up to them/is it worth.

How much should I wait for HR's call/feedback after the technical interview in Cognizant?

When did you start liking your work? What mindset/attitude helped?
I am a stub — dread going to the office. The last 3 months, personally, were the worst time of my life. Feeling incompetent, always having to ask for work (I.e., lack of work), the lack of sense of growth, the lack of supervision/mentorship/management, anxiety of making mistakes, obsessing over my mistakes etc. I get we are building our own brand, but I feel like I am under-developing compared to others.

Anyone else stressed with all the holiday madness? I'm pretty sure I'm not going to see my family again until a week into January. The holidays earn me great commission, but at what cost?

What would you say a reasonable amount of dials during cold calling/following up should be during an 8 hour day? Do you cold call, follow up, close the sale, and provide customer service to your clients? If so, what would you say a reasonable amount of calls and/or time on the phone should be?

I am trying to get a feel on what others do. I want to change the way my team does things and want to get ideas.

I am a sales rep and have worked extremely hard to build a large book of business. Every year upper management seems to find a way to cut commissions and make my hard work, worth less. Is this common? It’s pretty draining to work harder and get paid less year over year even though you’re typically getting more business. I don’t feel valued. Do more for less? Any other great sales companies/ industries that people are happy with and compensated accordingly? Preferably uncapped commissions

Do any managers do more than just manage and lead the team?

Currently I manage the team, manage accounting, handle HR, handle marketing such as documents and emails, provide all of the technical support, and sell.

My boss still works from home and only looks at the phone report to check the productivity. They refuse to look at my reports or complete activity logs. Because I have 4 hours of no phone activity daily, my boss believes I am not working hard enough.

I just applied to Salesforce for a BDR role. I don't have a Bachelor's but I have more than two years of BDR experience at Paychex as well as an Associates Degree in Business Admin. I personally messaged a recruiter on LinkedIn about my values and why I want to work for Salesforce. No response. Anyone else apply or those of you that work there, what are your tips for breaking in?

Is it possible to make a million in any sales position? I see so many classes and books on how to be a millionaire by selling. Seems like BS.

I work at a smaller telecom firm and had a former employee reach out to me for a role at a competitor. I then went on two separate interviews with two former employees of my employer. Both interviewers ragged on the product my company offers and the processes laid out by the company.

Do you think this is a red flag?
