Nothing really, that’s kind of the point isn’t it?

If you’re feeling particularly risky you could use a crypto based “savings” account to earn higher interest. But your savings will then be tied to crypto health (in a fairly low risk way - but not FDIC insured or backed by the US government)

You could see if you can find a bank bonus or promo rate to open a new account for part of it. I currently have a $300 bonus for keeping $15k for 90 days or so and a local credit union that is paying a little over 3% on up to $15k for 2 years if I have an active direct deposit. Not going to make me rich but beats earning .5% on my cash savings and still FDIC insured and accessable immediately if needed.

My boss the general manager is setting me up at work. She is saying all this stuff about me that is not true at all. But when I come into her shift or come into my shift after hers nothing is done for me. A lot of the prep is not done. And she complains about me not doing the prep. Stuff Is still dirty. One day she left the grill on. Etc. There was another manager there training to run another store and she said I basically do a lot of the work while she doesn't do much. So she stood up for me.

Newbie here! I work for a non-profit. Which some of you know makes me the marketing department, creative team, PR rep, and so much more. I am very UNDER PAID. I’ve know this for a while but stuck it out because I am getting great experience, my co-workers are wonderful people, and most recently, the board of directors have decided to increase everyone’s pay…
My next evaluation (very soon) will reveal what they have decided. I was not asked what I think I should be paid. What should I be paid?

Side hustle or startup ideas for someone who isn’t technical/doesn’t code? Where should I look or where to begin? I don’t have any strong passions or specific skills that I’m confident in. What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.

How do people balance living for today and being responsible enough to prepare for the future? I’m 40 and have been really concerned that I’m not living life enough. Just doing the things that make you happy whether it be experiences or material things. My biggest fear is retiring early or whenever and being too old to enjoy it or having less time to enjoy it. Just seems like so many people are getting sick or even worst dying much sooner than expected.

Parents are poor/middle income with no assets, little retirement, and may be reliant on me in future. I’ve had 100k of their savings in my high yield savings account for the past few years which they gave me to save for them in the case they try to buy a house in the future. I’ve kept it in savings to keep it liquid but interest rates are terrible. Where would you keep this money or invest it for better returns but to keep it fairly liquid?

My wife and I are first time home buyers and are struggling to figure out if we should go for a 20% downpayment (which will be kind of a stretch for us) or go for lesser DP, say 15% or 10%. The fact that a less than 20% downpayment attracts additional mortgage insurance (PMI), we are not able to make up our minds whether we'll be better off paying extra money in insurance every month or pulling our means to pay full 20% down.

Suggestions from experts out here or those been in same situation?

22 years old and currently focused on using my left over income to invest and pay off my debt. Cons : Cheap real estate usually means not the best area, tenants are all liars, random expenses fall on your head, if you dont live near the area you have to pay someone to do everything for you which adds up and may

Recently left my previous employer and am trying to decide what to do with my 401K. I am able to roll it to my new employer, but have been thinking about converting it to an IRA and then subsequently converting that to a Roth over the next 3-5 years. I know this conversion is considered income in the year I convert, and therefore taxable in that year. Any other fish recently think through this? Any key things you considered when deciding what to do with your 401K?

Both are down 50%... looking to consolidate my funds, so I am considering selling them both and allocating the 8% into something like XT? My other funds in there are 64% VTI, 16% VXUS, 5% VWO and 7% EMQQ.

Looking to buy, hold, and DCA. Would you swap ARKG/PBW for something like XT?
