What shows do you regret not watching earlier? For me it has to be money heist. Thought the dubbing would be awful and I can't watch subtitled shows during work. 2nd place Handmaid's Tale. Thought it would be super preachy anti male anti white show. It turned out that it wasn't overtly so and I like dystopian shows either way.

Schitt's Creek - it's just so sweet and wholesome as well as funny, and I identify with David overthinking everything so so hard.

I debating about trying it. Take it, it’s worth it.

Fleabag! Watched it last week and it’s brilliant and funny. I had seen one episode a while ago and thought the breaking the fourth wall / talking to camera technique was off-putting. But it’s actually all part of the charm. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is so talented.

The good place - cried like a baby ; gave me so much perspective and its ending - my god, couldn’t see the last few scenes because of all the water in my eyes

I started in season 5 or 6. I read all the books years ago and quit reading because it seemed like another Terry Brooks 20 year campaign to finish the damn story. Once I knew HBO had a clear ending insight I started watching it.

I liked amazon’s the boys. I haven’t touched season 2 because the my friends want to binge it together. I think the finale was released today so we are preparing for a marathon tomorrow.

Thought it’d be a super generic cape show, was very surprised

No regrets, starting late just means you have more episodes to watch and don't have to wait 6-18 months for the next season.

I can never remember what happened previously. Dunno if I'm the only one. Always need an intense YouTube vid recap

No thanks. Main character was just an idiot. I hate shows where they have to constantly screw up to continue the story line.

like

Breaking bad. By the time I watched it - it was way overhyped and made me enjoy it less since I had higher expectations.

like

Russian Doll! It was funnier than I anticipated and easy enough to binge in a day.

Feels like ages. Already forgotten 90% of season 1!

Fraiser - watched a couple of episodes when it was on TV but after watching all the seasons on Netflix I appreciate the show more now. This coming from a non white female accountant who loves to over analyze.

Some other great quirky TV show ideas would be The Patriot (on Amazon prime 2 seasons) and the UK original Utopia show (also on prime I think). US version also ok takes it different direction but I don't think it will get such a cult like following as original

The Bureau, one of the best TV show ever, comparable with Homeland but it’s French.

like

It’s not procedural. Each season has its own espionnage / geopolitical intrigue. Can’t tell about the dubbing as I am a native French speaking, but I heard the show had a great success in the UK, so it must not be so bad.

Hi 🐠 🐟!
I made solo reservations for Ever and Oriole in early October for Nov 4th and 5th. It's looking pretty dire that I'll be able to get in. Did anyone make a reservation at a Chicago Michelin restaurant and have someone drop out at the last minute? I would love to take their spot.

Thanks in advance!

Shanghai Fog Iced Latte (Lapsang Souchang Tea with Caramel and Cinnamon) - Inspired by the London Fog Latte I made yesterday. Instead of using Earl Grey and Vanilla with London, I used Lapsang Souchang sweetened with caramel, dusted cinnamon, and called it Shanghai Fog. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m experimenting with making different tea lattes. Lapsang Souchang has a very smokey flavor which pairs perfectly with caramel and cinnamon. I notice icing lattes also brings out the sweetness more.
