London Comp Thread (Not quite US, but after raises this year it would be nice to have a benchmark)
Annual compensation discussion coming up. With a VERY minimal base salary w/a % of collections, what do you think is fair? Currently, structure is a flat amnt quarterly as a bonus once a certain amnt is collected, but nothing additional than the minimal salary if collection gol isn’t achieved. Then, at year end, 1/3 of every $ over the collection threshold. I’ve never missed a collection goal, but am not gong far over it. What is a fair goal, and a fair %, assuming salary non negotiable?
What’s the referral bonus at ACN, Big 4, MBB?
5YOE & 1 year grad program (business analytics). Just received an offer at a boutique consulting firm (credit risk advisory/ fintech), $120K base, $10K relocation, 12.5% target bonus with up to 20%. Barebones benefits. For small firms (<200 total employees) , does this seem about right?
Getir vs Gojek I got an offer for SDE for both Getir and GoJek in India. I want to understand about Getir as a company, its work life balance in India and appraisals, possibility for remote work. The Tc offered in both is somewhat similar Gojek: 32 LPA + 3L joining bonus + 6L performance bonus Getir: ~ 41LPA (just for verbal confirmation) Getir Gojek
Google TC evaluation for a TPgM in Bay area for L5: Base - $175k RSU - $190k (4yrs) Annual Bonus - $15% Sign-on - TBD Currently M at B4, on deck for SM promo in July with 14 YoE in cybersecurity, tech, full stack dev, and SaaS. I’m aiming for $275k/equity if I can get there for a TC of 450k - this is based on levels, recent news of Googlers not being happy with salary/TC, and aiming high and meeting somewhere in the middle 🤞🏼 Thoughts on TC? And how to approach sign-on $ Thank you all!
Best Non-MBB comp at the Manager level? EYP - 200k + 20 bonus A&M - 140 base + 75% bonus S& - ? LEK - ? OW - ? ATK - ?
McK fish - how do annual raises work? I heard it’s your base salary + bonus from the prior year but wanted to validate since I’m taking a bit of a pay cut joining the firm. Thanks!
So Deloitte has announced mid-year market adjustment (for all functions) and retention bonus (for audit at least). I received comp comm today and pretty impressed by it - 17% salary increase and $35k bonus as a senior. Wondering if it’s what other PA firms are also doing to retain people now?
Many candidates reject an offer from a company after getting the offer letter because they got a better offer elsewhere. So companies say that this costs them a lot. I want to understand what is this cost. Its not like they had to pay a person some money even if the candidtae didn't join. Also the joining bonus is paid after a candidate joins and is usually returned if left before a yr. So what cost do they talk about?
Petition to start using Base+Bonus (e.g. 130+50k) as a compensation comparison metric? It’s annoying when people are assuming the highest possible bonus only for the reality of a salary to be significantly less. People say their TC is 300k and it turns out they were including signing bonus, RSU, etc. actual nonsense. Just please provide the base + bonus separately so people can see what the paychecks look like and understand what the bonus potential MIGHT be but isn’t guaranteed to provide
Looking for the average PwC signing bonus offered for M1/Finance Consulting/Tier 2/experienced hire. I will lose around 20-30K non vested cash if I make the switch. I can use that as leverage but I am just curious
Hearing (and this is just rumor not confirmed) that the new manager bonus is being phased out and going away altogether. Anyone hear anything else?
Deloitte 🐟, how much wiggle room is there on when the signing bonus payback period ends? If I started July 15, 2015, can I leave on exactly July 15th, or slightly earlier or later?
Does anyone know what the starting salary for JP Morgan PB Professional is in the Miami vs Atlanta office? How does the salary differ for an analyst vs associate? What’s the average bonus like? I imagine the salary doesn’t get overtime 1.5x. JPMorgan Chase
When you have conversations regarding comp with recruiters/in your interviews, do you share your base salary or total comp (including stock, bonus, etc) expectations? I’ve only shared my base salary expectations but understand that stock and bonus can be a large part of comp too so don’t want to leave that on the table
I work at a global asset mgmt firm that pays out bonuses in Jan every year. If I transfer to another team internally by the end of this year, would I still get a bonus- based on your industry experience at other major finance firms? I’d think I’ll be fine but in my previous two years, it was the MD of my group and my boss communicating bonus info to me - so not sure how this works. My current boss will also do my 2020 year end performance, not my new boss. TIA

Is it normal to feel absolutely lost when first starting out? I’m a staff who just started in FDD, and since I’m a staff I’m getting pretty basic tasks which I understand and can do, but whenever there’s a meeting with the partner or management some questions and conversations go way over my head.. is that normal ?

I feel salaries varies so much by market, individual experience and other factors that it’s hard to even give a good range.
