The same really as any other job, just a higher degree of proficiency in those skills.

It's not going to be so much the technical skills that will make you stand out, but more so your team cooperation, communication, and leadership skills that will set you apart.

Logical reasoning and problem solving skills along with functional knowledge and preparation for interview should fetch you a job in FAANG!!

Good question OP! I think you have to think outside of the box, be quick with problem-solving skills, and EXCEL at teamwork. If it's technical, you should be proficent in coding, contribute to open source projects, able to improve solutions, and comprehend information quickly. Overall, I think it's experience more than anything!

Need some advice! I put in my notice, and my boss told me to not tell my team yet and wait. It's now been a day and a half, I've sent a follow up, but nothing. I've been avoiding my team to not have to lie to their faces (they've expressed prior they don't like secrets around departures) and I can't go rogue without impacting a colleague who will need to take on my work. How would you all handle? It's currently unclear whether I will get to work my notice period due to the nature of my role.

Looking for some perspective and advice. I’ve moved to an in-house analytics organization for a large fortune 10 company and have prior experience with a big 4 and a startup as head of analytics & data science. Received an offer at an advertising agency for a senior role (slightly more money) and torn on taking the offer or not. This would be my first stint with an ad agency. Potential reasons against: 1) risk? I’m in the safe side already 2) longer hours? 3) less upside growth potential?
