Expecting to get an offer from another firm in a week or so and planning to be gone by end of Feb after wrapping up a big engagement. Is it better to put in my resignation earlier or 2 weeks before my end date? Kinda want to make a point that i am doing that out of the courtesy for my teams so i don’t leave them hanging but at the same time I’m going to another big 4 (but will be doing different type of work) and they’ll probably tell me to pack up sooner rather than later.
All the Big 4 Partner questions answered in one place: 1) 1st year - 350k to 700k. 2) 5th year - 750k to 1.4M 3) Stop asking about and worrying about the buy in. It is an opportunity and not a significant out of pocket cost. The only thing you should think about with the buy in is that it is an at risk asset, but if you have concerns about short term firm failure, you’re already at the wrong firm. 4) Take the Pship if ever offered. Non equity positions below Partner are always at risk
