I got my salary yesterday but didn't get this reward amount so far? Anyone who recieved it earlier, please guide.

Is it worth complaining about my boss to HR? She’s rude and ineffective. Nobody likes her. She doesnt add much to anything. I’m just worried about this possibly coming back to bite me.
Looking for a series or set of books for my ED classroom. Wanting it to focus on social skills, emotional regulation, coping skills, behaviors, etc. Not wanting individual read alouds.

What are some good brands for Parkas that are high in quality but not Canada Goose? Looking for something in length that goes slightly below the waist but not the plastic puffy kind.

Additional Posts in In-House Counsel
Looking for career trajectory advice. I started in house at a bio-tech right out of law school making $80k, worked my way to $100k. Recently took an associate position at a business law firm making $125k. I’m 5 years out of law school. What should be my next benchmark?

What the most frustrating thing that happened to you this week?
I just had to explain to a business client why it’s probably a waste of time to draft a subcontract before we receive at least a first draft of the prime government contract. (“Yes Mr. Client, the subcontract will reuse the parts from prior subcontracts with the sub that make sense.”)
I am a rising 2nd year at a V20 firm. I am interviewing with a tech company that only has a GC. So this position will be the second person of their in-house legal team. I have spoke with BD and a couple of directors. Got a feeling that they will make me work a lot. I don't want to work 10% less but take a >30% pay cut. Should I turn it down and stay at Biglaw?
I have a screener for an in house counsel role. It’s literally 15-20 mins. What do you think will be asked?
Thoughts on Media.Monks legal department?
What’s life like working at venture fund? I’ve only been at public operating companies but thinking of making move to VC fund that’s solely funded by one billionaire. Would love to hear pros/cons from others who have gone this route.
I have 2 job offers. One of them is a big tech company with a commercial counsel role. Other is a startup, I will be number 2, offered head of commercial legal title. My career goal is to become a GC in a startup and build my own department. The startup offer sounds enticing to learn all about startup life and wear many hats, but I’m not passionate about the industry. Big tech job pays $100K more plus sign on bonus I will be throwing. Any recommendations?
How do you manage contract signing to make sure it's done quickly (if your signer takes a while) or if your signer is OOO? E.g. when the usual signatory takes a few days to sign, is there a backup so a next person gets assigned to sign? Anyone using automated systems or a shared inbox to manage this? Just wondering what others have done.
How do I ask my GC for a recommendation without giving the impression that I’m job hunting (even though I am)?
I received a verbal offer from a GC to join an in-house team. However, I have not received a formal letter detailing salary, etc. Instead, the internal recruiter wants to have a call to discuss details. I would strongly prefer to negotiate over email, and I do not want to commit to anything in the call in terms of salary. I need some time to consider everything. Any tips on how to handle this piece?
I prefer transactional law but ended up with a litigation firm out of school (still inside yr 1). Too soon to look for in-house gigs or should I try switching firms first?
Sweet spot for transitioning to an in house role in terms of YOE? I am in biglaw corporate practice.
Had anyone worked as an in-house counsel in a startup and then moved to a law firm or another company? Was wondering how the transition looks like after working in a startup. Will it be hard to find a job in a midsize company later? Thank you!!
I have a third interview with a start up making their second legal hire. It seems like an exciting space but I’d be leaving a huge company and taking on risk if it works out. Any good questions to ask the GC as a second legal hire? I have management style, work assignments, handled but could use help on some other big ones folks typically ask!
Recently started in-house from private practice, a few months in. New company has had 2 rounds of layoffs since I resumed. I’m getting nervous. Should I be looking to jump ship? I feel my role is valuable to the company but the layoffs have been indiscriminate. Great performers, ok performers, new employees, older employees! I have a family to support and can’t afford to be out of a job in the coming months. Any advice or similar past experiences?
What is the hierarchy at your company and the salary differential for each position? We have staff attorney, associate general counsel, assistant general counsel, deputy general counsel, and then general counsel. Thx. I would guess that the ranges are about $25k differential per position.
Any current/former Airbnb counsel here? I have an interview next week and would love to hear about your experience and any advice you’d be willing to share. TIA!
Currently negotiating with a FAANG company who isn’t willing to cover my lease buyout but wants me to move. This just seems odd. I would have thought lease buyout was standard in a relocation package 🙃
Curious to get your take: Company does b2b training. Had a client cancel some workshops, has a 28k “credit” but doesn’t seem to want to apply that credit to anything else. Sales team has reached out with several options for a few months and client is unresponsive. Contract (made before I joined) doesn’t have clauses that specifically address this issue. 🙄 Pro-client MSA expires in 2023 and has “time of the essence” language. What mechanisms we can utilize to impose an expiration on credits?
